sorry for the lack of postings.

today has been a quiet day... drinking a lot of coffee... watching some of life... taking a bit of a break from the recent crazyness...

a lot has happened in the last month - i visited my family for 2 weeks, my second niece was born, i finished printing a show for my boss, secretly shot a proposal and then later shot real engagement photos, and had a group exhibit open in nyc... busy busy

this is peter and rachel. rachel and i used to work together and was the first person i ever hung out with when i moved here.  peter went to culinary school and for my birthday (first birthday spent away from my family) figured out how make an amazing birthday cake without any processed sugar/gluten/dairy/anything...and it was amazing.  i hadn't had cake in 4 years.  annddd september 25 august 21 is fast approaching... can't wait for their wedding!

oh! i posted a little bit ago about shooting on the set of the light outside music video with andrew & carissa gallo and crew. well the video is finally out! (it debuted last week) i really love it - even more so having been a small part of it. it's so cool to see the magic andrew and carissa have created while pulling it all together. if you've yet to see it... enjoy!

new york city

i just got back from spending four days in new york attending encounter10 and enjoying much of manhattan.

in between going to galleries friday afternoon i stopped at 2:10pm to take the photo above, joining worldwide moment.

my friend alison and i stopped at a small health food store each morning to get fresh juice and fruit for breakfast.  we also ate at small cafes, delicious thai restaurants annnd my favorite... i got to go to oneluckyduck twice! well worth the walk to this mini haven in the midst of the city. the best.

i took my first ferry ride across the hudson... 

 

it was really a wonderful time spent with my friends and inspiring to listen to amazing performers and speakers...watch films, listen to lectures... totally in over my head but so good.

can't wait to go back at the end of the month to visit space 38|39 ...

this past weekend i had the privlage of shooting stills on the set of the music video andrew and carissa gallo were making for wakey!wakey! of family records.

it was great to work with so many creative people - very inspiring.  i often found myself wanting to just stand against a wall and watch as they prepared and shot scenes.
